  • Gerolamo Bregante, (married to Palmira Zolezzi, and father of Katherine Stagnaro Bregante, James Bregante, John Bregante and Edna Zuanich Bregante.) Gerolamo was in the fish market business in San Francisco and then transferred to San Diego to manage a branch market in 1910. He was active in the Italian community as a businessman, member of Italian organizations, helped local fishermen finance boats and start their businesses, a partner in Harbor Supply and board member of the Bank of Italy.   • In December, 1922, Gerolamo Bregante visited his home town of Riva Trigoso, Italy, after his immigration to the United States in 1886. During his visit to his home  town, Gerolamo made donations to the Societa di Croce Bianca and the church, St. Pietro.  The Croce Bianca presented Gerolamo with a Diploma in recognition of his donation. St. Pietro church placed an inscription on a ceiling painting: "In honor of his father Antonio Bregante by his son Gerolamo Bregante."
